Not without adjusting for the actual quantity and VAT presentation. Our selected Viking Everyday record is one 500-sheet ream, while the Navigator Universal and Steinbeis No.1 Paperstone records are cartons of five 500-sheet reams. A lower headline amount for one ream is not evidence that it beats a 2500-sheet carton on quantity price.
Bring the VAT basis into view
All three records show both excluding- and including-VAT amounts. The one-unit observations are Viking £3.49/£4.19, Navigator £25.99/£31.19 and Steinbeis £20.99/£25.19 respectively. Our editable ledger starts from the displayed inclusive amounts. It does not add VAT again or mix an ex-VAT ream with an inclusive carton.
Keep specifications alongside price
Quantity price is only one decision field. These selected records share an A4 80 gsm description, but source whiteness, material claims, packaging and purchase conditions differ. We have not printed, measured thickness or compared jams. A common sheet denominator does not prove equal print quality or suitability for every printer path.
Choose a bounded comparison
First save exact product code, complete pack quantity and price basis. Then compare per 500 or 1000 declared sheets within the chosen task, and check actual shipping and quantity limits separately. Unknown machine approval or disputed specification remains open. No checkout, stock reservation or three-approved-merchant verification has taken place.
A purchase case to keep explicit
A practical comparison sheet should have separate columns for retail units, declared sheets and inclusive GBP. If the requirement is only 500 sheets, one selected carton adds 2000 beyond that amount. If the requirement is 2500, the single-ream selection requires five. Neither outcome alone answers the device or storage question.
