Identify the No.1 selection
Paperstone record 178878 is Steinbeis No.1 A4 Classic Recycled Paper, off-white, 80 gsm, in a box of five 500-sheet reams. That is 2500 declared sheets. The inspected one-box quote was £20.99 excluding VAT or £25.19 including VAT. No.2 or another Steinbeis brightness grade is a different selection. The full public product page identifies Paperstone SKU STE84501 and manufacturer number10025;178878 is the URL record identifier.
Read price and quantity together
The retailer lists 100% recycled paper, CIE 55 whiteness and laser/inkjet use. Its separate quantity tiers were five-plus cartons at £19.89/£23.87 and ten-plus at £18.29/£21.95. The base ledger uses the one-carton inclusive amount, not the cheapest tier shown elsewhere on the page or an RRP-based saving as a payable amount.
Separate sourcing claims from verification
The page also makes Blue Angel and EU Ecolabel statements. Those are product-source claims here;we have not independently matched a current certification registry entry to a received UK carton or audited its supply chain. A recycled-fibre statement does not establish local acceptance after a particular printed use, archival suitability or your printer’s specific approval.
Do not substitute a different grade
If this grade is attractive for its material or shade, keep the exact No.1 identifier in the order note and check the current package. Do not substitute a generic white recycled stock and retain its CIE value. No print, opacity, jamming, colour appearance or environmental-impact experiment was performed by this site.
A purchase case to keep explicit
A procurement note requiring recycled fibre should record No.1 and the stated content rather than just “Steinbeis paper”. If the supplier offers No.2 as an alternative, request that exact grade’s current specification and price. Reusing No.1’s CIE 55 would turn a clearly named substitute into a misleading comparison.
